THE SUN AND THE WIND: Once there was a hot discussion between the sun and the wind. The sun thought that he was stronger than the wind. The wind did not like it. Then they decided to test their strength. At that very  moment a man was passing through the forest wearing a shawl on his shoulder. The wind said with pride that he would take away the shawl of the  man to prove his strengths. So it started blowing with great force. Ilw traveler clasped the shawl with both hands as he was feeling cold dill' 10 blowing of the wind. The wind blew and blew but failed in his attempt take away the shawl from the shoulder of the traveler. The sun gave a smile. As the hours passed the sun came at the center of the  sky. It was so hot that the traveler had to take off the shawl from his shoulder. The wind took this defeat in good spirit and both of them became friend again (Gurung and Lama, 2005: 83).
