PROJECT SCOPE

1.   To develop another focus for the pilgrim tourist, and thereby help boost tourism in Sikkim. It aims to draw the pilgrim tourist from South East Asia and neighboring countries like, Bhutan , Nepal and Sri lanka apart from the demostic pilgrim tourist from other states to aid the growth of Rabong as a major tourist destination within Sikkim.

2. Over the year the tourist inflow into Rabong  has increased considerably ; as much as threefold in the past decade. This new venue would add to the town's growing identity as a major tourism destination in Sikkim. Rabong has adequate infrastructure facilities to meet the growing demands and meet the carrying capacity of tourists and  is prepared for a new project. Locals have been trained as tourist guides, travel agents with adequate capacity building programs, orientation and training conducted at regular intervals. These activities by state government agencies, Non Governmental Organization, the Tourism department will continue so that town is prepared to cater to further growth in that result from the project.

3. To provide a landscaped park demonstrating the best of Sikkim's floral wealth. This Buddha Statue cum garden will the first of its kind in the state and probably the country, and if properly maintained will attract not just the pilgrim tourist but also botanists and anybody appreciative  of natural beauty.

Statue of Lord buddha, seating position, prayer hall/lakhang, interpretation hall, congregation/preaching hall, viewing deck/entrance to the main block (thoroughfare for all), reception / lobby- reception for the rooms and other information details on the complex, restaurant / cafeteria, rooms,- for tourist/ pilgrim with attached bath, locker rooms, office and administration, reference libarty.
